Tanks for the memories



Dick G0BPS, an officer of the G-QRP Club, has been telling of an occasion some years ago when he was operating at a special event station 
near Dover. He was called and asked: "Is the propagation 
good enough to work into the US?" No callsign was given. Dick says: "I asked for one several times after answering the question but no reply. About an hour later they called me again to say thanks. They'd followed my advice on the band to use. I again asked for a callsign. The reply stopped me dead. "I don't know the callsign of this unit but I am in a US army tank in Germany."
