My Approach
For years I have observed gym instructors and personal trainers going through the motions with similar programmes for everyone and often using the latest and complicated exercises. This is fine but I know from personal experience that the type of training or exercise has a direct influence on how effective it is for that individual.
Every year brings the latest thinking of what exercises are no longer considered safe and replaced with the new more complicated techniques or the new machine that offers the easiest way to ‘getting fit’. However, if you understand the basics; how the body functions, the effect that exercise has on the heart and muscles, and how the food we eat is utilised, most types of new and old training can be performed and be very effective.
My aim is to design and guide you through a training programme that consists of the exercises that will be most effective for you. Throughout our sessions I will explain all this in simple terms so that you understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. This is vital in helping you achieve your goals but also to maintain them when you’re ready to train on your own.
